Array Electronics announces the immediate availability of a streaming video 10G Ethernet connection for new customer designs deploying Virtex-6 HXT FPGAs.
July 1, 2010 -- 10G-Ethernet connections are a perfect fit for applications that require a stable transmission of high resolution image data from high performance data sources, such as capable still image or video cameras. For an interruption-free and reliable operation of the transmission line, fiber optic cables are used up to a distance of 300m. On the receiving computer side, off-the-shelf PCI-Express network cards will be deployed, while on the transmit side a Virtex-6 FPGA takes the task of Ethernet packet assembly and decoding, including the Virtex-6 GTH electrical transceivers that connect the optical XFP module for attachment of the fiber cable. The solution is available now for new customer designs with Virtex-6 FPGAs.
Dec 21, 2006 -- Array Electronics, provider of Intellectual Property (IP) Cores for programmable logic devices, has received AllianceCORE product certification from Xilinx for its DDR SDRAM Controller XS core.
About the Xilinx AllianceCORE Program
The AllianceCORE program, initiated and controlled by Xilinx, Inc., provides a showcase for the most popular IP cores for Xilinx field programmable logic devices (FPGA) offered by third-party vendors. Product certification is solely performed by Xilinx and includes verification of a core's implementation flow and results, ensuring repeatable and successful deployment in customer designs. AllianceCORE products are solely developed, sold and supported by the IP core vendor.
MikroM selects DDR SDRAM Controller XS for its MPEG Decoder systems for the professional High-Definition (HD) Video and HDTV market.
Feb 14, 2006 -- Located in Berlin, Mikrom GmbH is a well-known supplier of MPEG decoder systems used by studio and production professionals in the area of HD video and HDTV. Robustness and guaranteed availability in continuous use are of utmost importance in this demanding market segment. "Our customers have to achieve obligations that make an availability of the equipment during 24 hours on 7 days per week indispensable. And we design our products accordingly." says Holger Krahn, General Manager of Mikrom.
Mikrom decided to use the DDR SDRAM Controller XS in its complete range of HD MPEG decoder products including the new DVB-H set-top box for the Japanese Mobile-TV market. "The IP of Array delivers us highest performance without risks for our time schedule," says Mr. Krahn. "It is premise to our success to concentrate on our core competences."
Nivus GmbH uses Multi-Port SDRAM Controller IP in its new NivuSonic ultrasonic measurement device.
Nov 17, 2005 -- The new measurement device NivuSonic of the German company Nivus GmbH deploys ultrasonic runtime measurement techniques to precisely determine the flow-rate as well as the flow profile in pipes up to 12m (39ft.) in diameter. Up to 8 ultrasonic sensors provide the data that is digitally cross-correlated in real-time. The development of the electronics focuses on high data throughput to the SDRAM and an optimized use of the available FPGA resources.
"The Multi-Port SDRAM Controller IP from Array Electronics has a surprisingly small footprint and proved to give us an efficient access to external SDRAM memory. We appreciated the good support during core integration as well as the attractive license conditions of this high-performance controller" said Markus Uhle, Design Engineer at Nivus.
